THE MOST IMPORTANT AFTERCARE

Every patient is provided with an aftercare pack that contains information on how to look after your transplanted hair. In addition to this, your aftercare pack will also contain the medication and a specialist shampoos that will aid in the healing and recovery process.

Every patient is different, and each surgeries post op is discussed and tailored for the surgery that he or she is undergone. A 24 hr aftercare hotline is also available.

For the first few days you may not feel anything due to the wearing off of the anesthetic. Pain killers are provided and it is advisable to take the prescribed course of tablets.

There may be swelling or bruising depending on the area that you are having transplanted, but this soon wears off after a few days. Provided in the pack are some prescription pills to help with this.

Hair washing is all explained carefully in your aftercare pack.

Hair generally works in cycles of three months and we expect to start seeing results between six to nine months. However beards and eyebrows may start to grow immediately, eyebrows and eyelashes will need to be trimmed as the hair continues to grow as the hair on your head.

Dependant on the surgery you have had the sutchers are removed after 10 days these however will dissolve if you do not wish to have them removed.

With FUE your hair will start to grow the important thing will be to keep your head clean and massage regularly the harvested area.

When the hair grows sometimes spots may develop, it this does happen do not squeeze them as it could be the new hairs trying to break the surface.

There are no medical risks resulting from hair transplant. You will undergo a full medical history questionnaire and consultation prior to the surgery and the surgeon will talk you through everything.
